Thirty of the crew, some of them wounded, reached shore by the boats. The Vega, carrying gold, was mined and sunk. Six of the crew were wounded. All were rescued. The Swedish steamer Adolf Bratt 11323 tons), bound for Rotterdam from Gothenburg, was sunk by a mine. Five members of the crew were killed.
