CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. r pHE following Holidays will be observed: — The Borough and Gas Offices will CLOSE from SATURDAY, 23rd inst.. to January 2, re-opening on WEDNESDAY, January 3, 1940. Complaints will be dealt with as follows whilst the offices are closed:— Gas complaints, ring 1537. Works and water complaints, ring 1293. Sanitary complaints, ring 1035. The Public Library Reading Room will be CLOSED from all day Saturday, 23rd inst., to 27th inst., reopening on Thursday, December 28. Papers and periodicals may be read in the Municipal Hall, Perry Street entrance, on ’Xmas Sunday, Boxing Day, and the day following (Wednesday).
