WOOL APPRAISEMENT
ADDITIONAL ONE FOR AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 22. A decision has been made to hold an additional wool appraisement in Auckland commencing on December 27. A recent announcement was mode that the next appraisement under the British Government's purchase would take place on January 2 7 . Since this arrangement was made shipping requirements have necessitated urgent reconsideration of the position and in order to take advantage of the available shipping space, the extra fixture was arranged. In spite of indifferent weather a short time ago the wool has been coming forward freely during -he past few weeks. Though only a short per iod has elapsed since the completion of the initial appraisement at the end. of November, it is expected that nearly 20,000 bales will be available. In the first appraisement approximately 23,500 bales were valued for which payment of about £360,000 was made on December 18.
