STOCK MARKET
MASTERTON SALE. The Associated Auctioneers' report a small yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at the Masterton sale yesterday, and was offered to a fair attendance. Sheep and pigs sold well up to late rates but cattle were slightly easier. The following are some of the realisations. Sheep:—Fat wethers, 19s 9d to 20s Cd to 21s; heavy fat shorn ewes, to IGs; fat shorn ewes, 13s to 14s Cd; fat woolly ewes, to 17s 3d; light fat shorn wethers, to 19s; shorn 4-tooth wethers. 17s Cd to 19s; shorn 2-tooth wethers, to 15s Id; woolly wether hoggets, to 19s 7d; woolly ewe hoggets, to 24s Cd; b.f. lambs, to Ils lOd; b.f. lamos (small), to 8s 9d. Cattle: Yearling P.A. steers to £4 10s; fat cows, to £6 10s; fat cows (ex dairy), to £5 10s; yearling Jersey heifers, to £4 10s; yearling Holstein heifers, to £3 ss; heavy bulls, to £lO 8s; stere cows, to £3 10s. Pigs—Weaners, 18s to 20s.
