REPULSED BETWEEN MOSELLE AND VOSGES. ENEMY COMPANY RETIRES IN CONFUSION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 10.20 a.m.) PARIS, December 20. French front line troops repulsed four German raids between the Moselle and the Vosges. Heavy artillery fire broke up the strongest attack, in which the German strength was estimated at one company, which was forced to retire in confusion, leaving arms and material. A French official communique states: “Nothing to report.” Another French communique reports marked activity among contact units. A German communique reports local reconnaissances and artillery activity near Perl, and in the Saar area: also harassing fire south of Pirmasens.
