UNIQUE SHOP FOR LADIES
“THE LADIES’ SHOP.” . NOW OPEN IN CENTRAL ARCADE, MASTERTON. In these days of “trade starvation,” brought about firstly on account of import restrictions, and secondly on account of the war, it is gratifying to note that there are still some business people optimistic enough to start new ventures. An entirely new business has just been opened in the Central Arcade Buildings, Masterton. This business is to be run exclusively for toilet and medicinal lines, and possibly woollen garments. The ordinary well-known medicinal lines will be stocked, and a wide range of toilet requisites. Many of the toiletries will be less expensive than similar lines stocked by leading city shops, and in no case will toilet or medicinal lines be dearer. The Ladies’ Shop is run by women for women, and all those who are anxious to obtain Christmas presents should certainly pay this beautifully-appointed shop a visit before Christmas. Men of all ages often have great difficulty in deciding what to purchase for the “Fair Sex” in the way of attractive presents at reasonable prices. None can do better than pay a visit to the exclusive Ladies’ Shop in the Central Arcade. While the man wonders, the woman knows what is acceptable to other women, and no man, if he is wise, can ever do better than take a woman’s advice about her own sex, and most other problems as well—2o/12/39.
