MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. XTOTICE is hereby given that, at a 1 Special Meeting of the Masterton County Council, held on TUESDAY, the sth day of December. 1939, the following Resolution was passed:— “THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 195 of “The Counties’ Act, 1920.” and "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:— 1. THAT the Council proceed to raise a Loan of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds.(£lsoo) for the purpose of acquiring the necessary land, the erection of a Worker’s Dwelling thereon, and all other charges incidental thereto. 2. THAT such Loan be called "The Masterton County Workers' Dwelling Loan of £l5OO, 1939." 3. THAT the said Special Loan be repayable by half-yearly instalments of Fifty-six Pounds and Ten Pence (£56 0s lOd), each comprising principal and interest. 4. THAT the said Special Loan be raised by the issue of Forty (40) Debentures of Fifty-Six Pounds and Ten Pence (£56 0s 10d> each, the first Debenture to be payable on the first day I of August, 1940. and one of such debentures to be payable on the first day of February and August in each year until the Loan is fully repaid. 5. THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge, as security for the repayment of the said Debentures, sinking fund and other charges thereon, the Special Rate of One One Hundred and Fortieth (l/40d) of One Penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the Capital Value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Masterton. 6. THAT the said Debentures shall be payable at any Branch of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand. 7. THAT the cost of raising the Loan, but not the first year's Interest and Sinking Fund, be paid out of the Loan.” AND NOTICE is hereby further given that the above Special Order will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Masterton County Council, to be held-on TUESDAY, the 16th day of January. 1940, at 2 p.m., at the Council Chambers.
