CRASH AT DARWIN

NEW GUINEA PLANE WRECKED TEN PASSENGERS ON BOARD. ONLY TWO PERSONS INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DARWIN, December 18. A plane crash occurred near the local aerodrome today when a New Guinea Airways Lockheed Electra with ten passengers journeying to Newcastle made a forced landing from 1500 feet following the failure of the engines. One occupant sustained a fractured skull and another a broken arm. The machine was burned to cinders and the occupants had a marvellous escape.
