WELLINGTON COLLEGE

A FINE RECORD. Proud of its motto, “Lumen accipe et imperti” interpreted as “Receive the light and hand it on,” Wellington College is also proud of its early foundation in 1853, by Sir George Grey, of its fine record in scholarships, games, athletics and of the achievements of so many of its old boys in afterlife. Wellington College is situated on a very healthy site in spacious grounds comprising over 50 acres of flats and hillside. The climate is invigorating and the opportunities for healthy development and study are almost unrivalled. While centrally situated in a metropolitan area, with all the advan-| tages accruing thereto, yet the College is secluded in position owing to the wide open spaces all around it. The Boarding Department housed in modern, well-equipped buildings has built up a reputation for careful attention to health, dietary, physical development and study, and boarders have the advantage of all facilities for games, swimming, etc. The fees are moderate and details for boarders are furnished in the prospectus a copy of which may be obtained on application to the secretary, Box 19, Wellington, or the headmaster. The first term for 1940 will commence on Tuesday, February 6. boarders going into residence on the previous day.
