CARTERTON SALE. PIG PRICES EASIER. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co Ltd report as follows:—A good yarding of cattle and pigs and a small yardings of sheep came forward at our Carterton sale yesterday. Sheep and cattle sold on a par with late rates but pigs especially weaners and slips were slightly easier. The following are some of the realisations: — Sheep:—Fat lambs, 19s 3d to 20s 3d: b.f. lambs, ss. 6s Id. 7s 6d, 8s to 13s. Cattle: —Cows in milk, £6 15s; fat cows, £4 16s, £5 Is, £5 7s 6d, £5 12s, to £6; forward cows, £3. £3 10s. £3 17s, to £3 19s; store cows, 212 s to £2 17s, to £3 19s; store cows, £2 12s to £2 3s to £4 17s; yearling Jersey heifers, to £3 12s; bulls. £3 to £7 9s. Pigs:—Weaners (good), 18s to 225; (medium), 14s to 17s; (small). 8s to 13s 6d; slips, 15s to 19s; store pigs. 21s to 265: light porkers. 28s to 335: porkers. 35s to £2 2s; baconers, £2 10s to £3; sows with litters. £3 to £4.
