Mrs Carne Bidwill, of Featherston, is a visitor to Hastings. Miss Olive Falkner, of Wellington, is visiting Kaiparoro. Mrs P. Hawksworth, of Masterton, is a visitor to Wellington. Mrs Arthur Tait, of Otorohanga, is the guest of Mrs Alex Tait, Ballance. Nurse Mavis Taylor, of Essex Street, Masterton, has returned from an extended visit to Australia. Mrs S. Sinclair, Stratford, is visiting her mother, Mrs Hanley, of Perry Street, Masterton. Miss Taggart, who has been visiting Mrs Caldwell, Masterton, has returned to Wellington. Mrs Mcllwraith of Hastings, who has been the guest of Mrs C. Wilmhurst, of Chapel Street, Masterton, has returned home. Miss Jocelyn Hornabrook, of Masterton, is the guest of Mrs A. McDonald, Edendale, Southland, and will visit Christchurch next week. The death occurred at the Pahiatua Hospital yesterday of Mrs Clemence Edith Bibby, wife of Mr Richard James Bibby, of Pahiatua, at the age of 48 years. Mr and Mrs J. D. Common, of Hastings, who visited Masterton for the Solway College break-up, were the guests of Mrs J. Handyside, Lansdowne. Miss Gillian Gooder, a student at the Canterbury School of Art has returned from Christchurch on her Christmas vacation and has as her guests at her home, Church Street, Masterton, Miss D. M. Bonifant and Miss M. E. Lyttle, also of Christchurch. Mrs Percy Jackson, Wellington, and formerly of Masterton, who recently returned from England, is visiting her father, Mr J. Redpath, and Mrs Redpath, Christchurch. She hopes to return to London early in January, accompanied by her two daughters.
