Mr H. R. Penny has been appointed a producers’ representative on the New Zealand Honey Control Board. Mr C. W. Gaze, of Carterton. who has been an inmate of Masterton Hospital for over six weeks, has returned to his home. Leading-Rating John Brett, of H.M.S. Philomel, is spending a fortnight's leave in Masterton, and is staying with his parents, Mr and Mrs John Brett, South Road. The Rev J. Lawson Robinson, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, and the Rev J. W. Hayward, who had a long association with the district, will be asked to represent the Presbyterian Church at the celebration of the centennial at Akaroa, according to the decision of the Presbytery of Christchurch.
The personnel of the Canteen Board is announced in the Gazette published last night. The members are: The Director of Internal Marketing. Mr F. R. Picot; the Secretary to the Treasury. Mr B. C. Ashwin; Wing Commander A. de T. Nevill. Royal New Zealand Air Force; LieutenantColonel S. H. Crump. New Zealand Staff Corps; and Paymaster Lieutenant Commander H. R. Sleeman, N.Z.E.F.
