The stud sheep expert attached to the New South Wales Government has recently made a rush trip to New Zealand to purchase a number of stud sheep for various studs mainly in Ihe Wagga district. New South Wales. Althouih he was only in the country for one week lie travelled very extensively indeed, and his purchases through the Stud Stock Departmonl of Wright. Stephenson and Co. I,id., include two special stud rams from the Alloa Stud of the late Quentin Donald. He secured a really outstanding ram from the Waiorongomai Slud of R. W. Matthews, and would have purchased ewes at this establishment but unfortunately Mr Matthews was not in a positir.n to supply them. From Sir William Perry he purchased an atlrnclico Southdown ram hogget. It is understood that he is negotiating for further purchases for delivery in 19-10.
