YANGTSE GUNBOATS

MORE TO BE WITHDRAWN FOR SERVICE ELSEWHERE. ADMIRALTY INTIMATION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) RUGBY, December 13. The Admiralty announces that in October last five of the gunboats of the Yangtse River Patrol were withdrawn from, service because the officers and men were needed for important service elsewhere. It has now been decided that three more gunboats shall be withdrawn from the Yangtse for similar reasons connected with Ihe prosecution of the war in Europe. The Admiralty decision will leave on the Yangtse two of the ten gunboats in commission there before the Wai*.
