A French communique says commentators state that intense fighting has been raging for 24 hours along a line of advance outposts in territory which is about six miles wide, forming a salient into the general enemy line. "During the night, the latest information shows, there have been short encounters in the region between the Saar and Warndt Forest," says another French communique. "During the day there has been another engagement with artillery actions in the same region.
