BREMEN PASSES
WITHIN RANGE OF BRITISH SUBMARINE NO ATTACK MADE ON LINER. RULES OF SEA WARFARE OBSERVED. (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON. December 12. An Admiralty communique slates that a British submarine reported that the Bremen passed within torpedo range while homeward bound. The rules of sea warfare of course precluded the submarine from torpedoing the Bremen without warning.
