The country stationmaster did not wear a uniform, and one day when a train came in he stood at the gate to take tlie tickets. A pretty girl came along, and when he held out his hand for her ticket she seized it, gave it a tight squeeze, and followed it up with a hearty kiss. The stationmaster was agreeably surprised. but duty was duty. "That's all very well, miss," he said, “but I want your ticket.” "Oh." replied the girl, blushing furiously, "aren't you Uncle Gordon?”
