ORDER OF DRUIDS
STONEHENGE LODGE. HALF-YEARLY MEETING. The half-yearly meeting of the Stonehenge Lodge was held last night, the A.D., Bro. N. F. Keightley, presiding. The District President. Bro. Stretton, and a number of visitors were present and given a lodge welcome. The Christmas tree committee reported that all arrangements had been complete for the Christmas tree function on Saturday. The Grand Lodge forwarded Christmas greetings to the lodge, which were heartily reciprocated. A motion of sympathy with Bro. A. C. Pay in the loss of his wife was passed, the members standing in silence. The District President installed the various officers into their chairs for the current term. A.fter an impressive ceremony the newly-installed officers returned thanks for their election and promised to work in the interests of the Order. Several members reported on recent visits to the Fernleaf and Totara lodges, stating that they received cordial welcomes and enjoyed the gatherings at each lodge. One friend was initiated into the Order by the A.D.. assisted by his officers. Bro. F. Gray was presented with a Past Arch Diploma and Collar on having passed through the chairs of the order. The District President, in making the presentation, referred to the excellent, service that Bro. Gray had given the Order and hoped that he would continue the good work.
The secretary reported that all members on the sick benefit were progressing favourably. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £3O 14s 7d were passed for payment. Christmas greetings were extended to the A.D.. officers and members of Stonehenge Lodge No. 1. At the conclusion of lodge business the visitors and members were entertained at supper.
