GARDEN PARTY

MASTERTON TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD. The Garden Circle of the Masterton Townswomen’s Guild held a party on Saturday afternoon in the grounds of Mrs Gaskin, Colombo Road, when there was a large attendance of members and friends. Games and competitions were enjoyed, the winners being: Obstacle race, Mrs Bennett; digging competition, Mrs Walker; stepping the chain, Mrs Snowsill. A treasure hunt and a bran tub provided amusement for the children and a produce stall did brisk business. Mrs Gaskin was thanked for the use of her grounds.
