U-BOAT CHASERS
CONSTRUCTION IN UNITED STATES. BRITISH & ITALIAN TYPES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. WASHINGTON. December 9. The navy is undertaking extensive tests of the efficacy of fast motor-tor-pedo-boats and submarine chasers. Eleven torpedo-boats and 12 chasers are being built in the United States on the designs of the Scott-Paines British Powerboat Company. It is admitted that the British and Italian navies lead the world in this type of craft.
