YOUTH SENT TO GAOL IN BIRMINGHAM CLERK IN AEROPLANE FIRM. CORRESPONDENCE WITH NAZIS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. LONDON. December 9. Trevor Edward Williams, an accomplished linguist, aged 18. described as a potential menace to the realm, was sentenced to six months’ gaol at Birmingham lor theft of a Medical Corps uniform and a quantity of books. Evidence was given that he corresponded with Britain s enemies. A search of his bedroom disclosed photographs of Herr Hitler and General Goering, a quantity of Nazi propaganda. also letters to persons in Germany with "Heil Hitler" over the signature, promising to support Germany in the event of war and suggesting methods of maintaining Get man contacts through neutrals. Among the correspondents were Dr. Rozel, chief Nazi agent, in England, since expelled, also Baroness von der Golitz. in Pomerania. Williams was a clerk in a firm manufacturing aeroplanes and submarines. He had a key fitting the chief clerk's desk. The Him lost two confidential documents, most valuable to the enemy. The theft of the uniform is believed to be part of a plan to break the defence regulations. Williams was a member of the Link.
