TEMPORARY SUSPENSION. ACTION BY U.S.A. TENNIS ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK, December 6. The Lawn Tennis Association announces that Gene Mako and Wayne Sabin have been declared ineligible for amateur tennis because of alleged violations of the amateur regulations. The suspension is temporary pending final executive action on February 9. Both are accused first of receiving living and other expenses from tennis organisations for more than eight weeks this year, and secondly, of receiving travelling expenses in excess of amounts approved by the association. The chairman, Mr Louis J. Carruthers. said lhe association had not previously decreed temporary suspension.
