In Hyde Park a "Red" orator was fulminating against the established order, with particular reference to the Royal Family. His harangue had almost persuaded the audience to accompany him to Buckingham Palace and demonstrate outside the gates. Materialising apparently from nowhere, the constable, hitching up his belt, brought the crowd to its senses with the friendly inquiry: "Nah then, ’oos for the Pallis?”
