MARROWS

HOW TO STORE THEM. If vegetable marrows cannot be consumed within a reasonable time they may be stored successfully for several months. They must be picked in good condition, sound and ripe: the dark green streaked varieties seem to- keep better than the yellow kinds. Make a cradle of broad tapes, or pieces of clean cloth, and hang up each marrow in this in a cool, dry place: From the best kinds all seeds should be dried and cleaned, and placed in ai* airtight box ready for sowing next year.
