ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS
—.... LOYAL MASTERTON LODGE. FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. At the fortnightly meeting of Loyal Masterton Lodge N.G. Bro P. C. Reynolds presided over a good attendance of members. Sick pay and general accounts were passed for payment. The secretary of the Loyal Wairarapa Past Grand’s Lodge reported that the Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge. Carterton had won the ritual competition, with Loyal Masterton Lodge a good second. The ritual examiners notified that Loyal Rose of the Valley Juvenile Lodge. Lower Hutt, had won the L. P. Morris Shield after a close contest with the officers of the local Juvenile Lodge. P.G. Bro E. J. Mooney, secretary of the Lodge Cricket Club, reported that the Loyal Petone cricket team would visit Masterton at the weekend and try conclusions with the local lodge eleven. The game will take place on the grounds of the Mahunga Golf Club. Lodge member are cordially invited to be present. P.G. Bro R. Read reported on the recent game of indoor bowls with members of Stonehenge Lodge U.A.0.D.. which resulted in a draw, a most enjoyable evening being spent. It was unanimously resolved that the next meeting of the Lodge on Monday. December 18. be opened at 7 p.m. and that after the completion of business the lodge entertain the wives and friends of members at a social and dance. Sisters M. Brader. M. Harris and Bro L. P. Morris were elected a committee to control the Christmas Tree function on Saturday, December 23. The social committee will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening next to complete details in connection with the annual social and dance to be held on Tuesday. December 26. Invitations were received from Loyal Heart of Oak Lodge. Carterton. in connection with the installation of their officers; the Wellington District Officers notified their intention of being present on Monday evening next; and from Loyal Combination Lodge. Johnsonville, for members to be present al their annual Christmas social on Saturday evening. December 16. ’ After the conclusion of business' supper was provided by the Sisters.
