Miss Lineen, Palmerston North, is a guest at the Empire Hotel, Masterton. Nurse B. Coleman, of Palmerston North Hospital staff, is a visitor to Masterton. Mr and Mrs A. Corskie, of Masterton, who have been on a trip to England, will return shortly to Masterton. Miss I. M. Coltman, Wellington, is staying at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. Mr and Mrs C. Dickason, of Masterton, are due to return home shortly from a visit to England. Mr and Mrs T. B. Robb, Renall Street, Masterton, are expected to return shortly from a trip to England. Mr and Mrs R. J. McKay (Wellington) were recently at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton. Mrs J. H. Hudson has returned to Eketahuna from Wellington where she had been visiting her daughter, Miss Mollie Hudson. The death occurred at the Pahiatua hospital yesterday of Mrs Catherine Ann Lawson, widow of Mr Peter Lawson, of Mangamaire, at the age of 70 years. The marriage was quietly solemnised in Carterton yesterday of Miss Joy Lillian Pahl, eldest daughter of Mr L. Pahl, Masterton, and Mr George Bilby, formerly of Petone.
