SKATING IN MASTERTON
SESSION TO OPEN ON SATURDAY. Skating has become a popular pastime among both young and old in Masterton, and in view of this Messrs Phelps Brothers, the well known proprietors of Auckland’s principal rink, will open a rink in the Mascot Motors building on Saturday next. In the evening the programme will include a Monte Carlo, "excuse me partners,” trios, musical circle, men's tyre race, ladies’ balloon race. etc. A night of fun and thrills is promised those who attend. The rink will be under strict control and everything possible will be done for the convenience and enjoyment of patrons. There is to be a special learners session each evening from 5 o'clock till 6 o’clock.
