FIGHTING IN KARELIA
PROGRESS BY RUSSIANS REPORTED CAPTURE OF KUOLAJARVI. ATTEMPT TO CUT FINLAND IN TWO. COPENHAGEN, December 6. The Russians have occupied Koulajarvi (50 miles inland from the northern Karelian frontier), according to the “National Tidende’s" correspondent in Helsinki, where the military authorities are of the opinion that this probably marks the beginnings of a Russian attack designed to cut Finland in two.
