World amateur ice-skating champion. Megan Taylor, has been offered a salary of £3OO a week to turn professional and star in a musical ice revue to lour America, opening in New York early in the new year. Miss Taylor, who is now in Melbourne, said that she would probably accept. "It was my ambition to win at the next Olympic Games, but as they are so uncertain now there is no point in delaying my future plans." she said. "Because of war there are no championships or engagements for me in England, so I may as well accept this offer, and others that have been made in the past do turn professional. “If I do. I will go direct from here to America."
