Mrs J. Macßae. Weraiti, is spending a few days in Wellington. Mr and Mrs D. H. S. Riddiford. Featherston, returned to Wellington yesterday from the South Island. Miss D. Taggart, of Petone, is visiting Masterton, and is the guest of Mrs Caldwell, Hessey Street.
Miss Davidson, of the Child Welfare Department, Wellington, is staying at the Empire Hotel, Masterton. Mr and Mrs Alistair Buchanan, Te Kope, who have been staying at Paraparaumu Beach, have returned home. Mrs B. R. Bunny. Cole Street. Masterton, is staying with her daughter, Mrs R. Fell, Lower Hutt. Mrs H. J. W. Lord, Essex Street, Masterton, has returned from a visit to Paraparaumu Beach.
Sir Alfred and Lady Ransom. Dannevirke, are the guests of Mr and Mrs A. P. Bennett. Renall Street, Masterton. Mrs Lees, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs Prendergast Knight, Te Whiti. has returned to Auckland.
Mrs J. V. Reid. Longbush, with her small daughter, has gone to join Mr Reid in Blenheim, where they have taken a bouse. Miss Jocelyn Betts has also left for Blenheim and will be the guest of her sister for a fortnight. A large nunroer or Ttuawnata residents. reinforced by visitors from Pahiatua, Ballance and Kaitawa, gathered in the Ruawhata School on Saturday ngiht when a “kitchen evening" was tendered -to Miss Betty Davenport. Miss Davenport’s mariage to Mr Basil Hunt, of Petone, will take place shortly. A most enjoyable time was spent. A large number of gifts were received by Miss Davenport.
