DORIC STAR’S LOADING DAIRY PRODUCE & MEAT. ! WOOL FROM AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. When the Doric Star, now reported to have been sunk in the South Atlantic by a German raider, finished loading in New Zealand on October 20, all her refrigerating space was occupied by dairy produce and meat. She also carried a quantity of wool taken on at Australian ports. She had two passengers from New Zealand but tney were transhipped to another boat on reaching Australia and it is believed she had no passengers when she sailed for England. The master was Captain W. Stubbs the Chief Engineer Mr W. Ray, and the Chief Steward Mr W. Gandy. The names of the other officers are not obtainable.
