Christchurch, are guests at the Empire Hotel. Masterton. Mrs J. M. Simpson, who has been staying in Stratford and Auckland for some weeks, has returned to Masterton. The death occurred at Pahiatua yesterday of Mrs Agnes Pattison, wife of Mr Robertson Pattison, of Kumeroa, at the age of 79 years. Mrs Ern Saunders, of Studholme Junction, who has been on a visit to relatives in Palmerston North, arrived in Masterton this afternoon on a brief visit. The wedding was celebrated very quietly last week-at the residence of Lady Pomare, Western Hutt Road. Wellington, of Madge Helen, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs G. C. Ormond. Hawke’s Bay, and Ra. Woodbine, son of Lady Pomare and the late Sir Maui Pomare. The Rev Paul Temurera, Otaki, performed the ceremony, and' the bride was given away by Dr Giesen. Mr Duff Daysh attended the bridegroom as best man.
