GALA DAY S UCCESSFUI. GATHERING. i "Times-Age" Special. i The gala day held al Kahutara School ground on Saturday was most successful. Though it rained heavily in the morning and later in the afternoon there was a good attendance. in the morning the calves and lambs were judged by Mr A. N. Johnston (calves) and Mr V. Robinson (lambs). Mr Johnston congratulated the child? ren on the splendid type of calves presented. saying that they were the best he had seen since last judging here. The guessing competitions were won by the following: D. Fenwick Maj Flutey. M. McCallum, and Mrs Rea. The putting competition was won bj Miss C. Bargh (ladies) and Mr W Pope (men). There was an excellent display of arts and crafts as well as cooking an, floral decorations, which were judged by Mesdames Arthur Pearce and A Campbell Pearce.
