MANAWATU KNITTING MILLS
' LOSS ON YEAR'S WORKING. A loss of £1660 is reported by Manawatu Knitting Mills. Ltd., for the year ended October 20. This compares with a loss of £ 166 in the previous year and a profit of £3703 in 1937. The directors state prospects are much brighter. The mill had lor the last three months been working at full capacity, but unfortunately that did not give sufficient time to make up for the early slack period. In view of the position the directors do not recommend a dividend. After providing for the trading loss. £896 remains to be carried forward, against £2557 brought in. No dividend was paid in 1938. but in 1937 there was a distribution of 10 per cent.
