CZECH ARMY

MOBILISED IN FRANCE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. PARIS, December 3. A Czechoslovak army has been mobilised against Germany as the result of calling all Czechoslovaks between the ages of 18 and 50 to report for duty. An army of 25,000 will be raised from the Allied countries alone. British and American Czechs may also enlist. The German authorities in Czecho-, Slovakia are becoming more perturbed at the restlessness of the population, stated a Daventry broadcast last night. A proclamation has been issued in Prague stating that no more demonstrations or opposition to German authority would be tolerated, and the populace was warned to mend its ways. The proclamation concluded: "Henceforth the German authorities will act without warning, and will use the sharpest weapons.”
