WOMEN’S DIVISION

MAURICEVILLE BRANCH. MEETING IN MASTERTON. The members of the Mauriceville Women's Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union held their monthly meeting in the Women's Rest Room. Masterton, yesterday afternoon. Miss G. Heckler presided over a good attendance of members. Miss Heckler stated that she had received a letter from the matron. Kaiga Moa Rest Rest Home, Palmerston North, thanking the Mauriceville Division for the croquet set donated to the rest room. The Division decided td donate the sum. of 10s to be spent in Christmas toys for lonely children at the Masterton Hospital. Miss E. Dagg's Christmas cake was won by Mrs W. Cheetharn. Miss M. Larsen was the winner of the wandering shilling. The best bloom competition resulted as follows: —Mrs F. Forsberg 1. Mrs W. Cheetharn 2. Miss E. Dagg won the lucky number competition. Mrs Nikolaisen gave an interesting talk on her visit to the Exhibition for which she was thanked. The hostesses were Mesdames W. Cheetharn and Milner. Misses E. Heckler and M. Larsen.
