OBITUARY
MR ALEX McKENZIE. The death occurred at Masterton this morning of Mr Alexander McKenzie, in his 71st year. The late Mr McKenzie. who was held in high esteem among a wide circle of Masterton friends, is understood to have no relatives in the Wairarapa. The son of pioneer settlers, he was occupied . in bushfelling prior to taking up farming at Mauriceville. Selling his property there, he bought a farm at Longbush. In 1913 he took up a position with the Government Land Valuing Department. being stationed at Masterton. Of a kindly disposition. Mr McKenzie made many friends, particularly among the farming community.
