AMERICAN BOMBERS

MACHINES FOR ALLIES TO FLY ATLANTIC. FROM CANADIAN BASE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. NEW YORK. November 30. The aviation editor of the “New York Times", learns on excellent authority that American bombers ordered by Britain and France will be flown across the Atlantic from a huge Canadian air base now being prepared, which, it is agreed will be one of the largest and most modern in the world. The west to east prevailing winds, the military 2000-mile distance, and the excellent facilities for blind flying in bad weather are believed to have actuated the step, which is designed to avoid the North Sea and North Atlantic shipping difficulties.
