Severance of Relations Suggested PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS LEADERS LIKELY TO CONFER (Received This Day. 1.22 p.m.) NjE\V YORK. November 30. America has greeted the Russian invasion of Finland with complete condemnation and expressions of revulsion at its method and manner. At least one ranking Senator, Air King, asked tin* United States to sever diplomatic relations with Russia, declaring that hi* hoped that: “My country will no longer grasp the bloody hand of Stalin.” Officials generally took a grave view of tin* situation and. following on a conference between l\lr Cordell Hull (Secretary of State) and President Roosevelt on the matter, it is indicated that the President may summon the legislative leaders of both parties for a discussion of policy. Possible courses of American action, are indicated as follows Application of the Neutrality law, recall of the American Ambassador in Moscow, or severance of diplomatic relations.
