INVASION NOT ADMITTED TERRITORY OCCUPIED. TWO ATTACKING PLANES SHOT DOWN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, November 30. Moscow reports state that Russia still refuses to acknowledge the invasion of Finland, although the frontier bombardment is increasing. The Finnish Legation has requested a laissez passer, thus far without response. The number of Russian planes participating in raids has been comparatively small; the largest units numbered twenty and attacked Wiipuri. Planes attempted to bomb the Sveaborg forttress, but were driven off. The Havas News Agency states that the Peninsula of Rybachi and the Island of Seiskari, in the Gulf of Finland, have been occupied by Soviet Forces. The Finnish Ministry of Defence reports that two Soviet aeroplanes were shot down, one near Helsinki. The Havas Paris Agency states that the damage at the Helsinki airport is small. STATE OF WAR DECLARED BY FINLAND. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) HELSINKI, November 30. THE PRESIDENT, M. KYOSTI KALLIO, HAS ISSUED THE FOLLOWING PROCLAMATION:— “WITH A VIEW TO MAINTAINING THE COUNTRY’S DEFENCE AND CONSTITUTION, FINLAND HAS DECLARED A STATE OF WAR.”
