MASTERTON GOLF CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING MR ROBIESON MADE LIFE MEMBER. MR HORNABROOK PRESENTED WITH WATCH. The annual meeting of the Masterton Golf Club was held in the A. and P. rooms, Masterton, last night. The president. Mr G. W. Sellar, presided over an attendance of fifty members. The report and balance sheet (recently published in the “Times-Age'') were adopted. The president made a presentation of a wristlet watch to Mr J. P. Hornabrook on behalf of the club on his winning the open and amateur New Zealand golf championships held at Miramar. He referred in eulogistic terms to Mr Hornabrook’s double success. Mr Hornabrook suitably acknowledged the presentation. Mr W. H. Robieson was elected a life member of the club in appreciation of his past, services. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President: Mr G. W. Sellar (re-elected): vice-presidents: Messrs H. P. Hugo and J. V. Gordon; club captain: Mr J. E. Jenkins: hon secretary: Mr D. T. Herbert (re-elected); hoii treasurer: Mr F. M. Cunningham (re-elected): hon auditor: Mr W. M. Sellar: committee: Messrs N. F. Blundell, C. C. Campbell-Heard. L. Connolly. W. E. Holdgate. S. A. Mannering. C. C. Marsack. and G..M. Ross. The election of lady officials resulted; as follows: —President: Mrs G. W. Sellar; vice-president: Mrs N. H. James: ladies’ captain: Mrs H. H. Daniell; hon secretary: Mrs A. J. Drew: committee: Mesdames R. R. Burridge, F. M. Cunningham, P. F. Fagan. C. H. McKenzie B. P. Perry. R. Plummer, and Miss R. Murray. The meeting concluded with a vob of thanks to the chairman.
