MOTOR ACCIDENTS

TWO IN LOWER VALLEY. NO ONE SERIOUSLY INJURED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CARTERTON, This Day. A remarkable escape from the slightest injury was experienced by Mr Roland Warrington, of Waihakeke, when his small car was struck side on by a large car driven by Mr O. C. Cadwallader at the intersection of the Waiha-keke-Te Para roads last evening. The corner is obscured by a plantation. Mr Warrington, turning at a moderate pace, collided with Mr Cadwallader’s car. The small car was hurled for a distance of 10 feet, but was not overturned. It was completely crushed by the impact, but the driver, who was proceeding to Masterton to sit for an examination was able to procure another vehicle and fulfil his engagement. Mr Cadwallader’s car was fairly badly damaged. A car driven by Mr Duncan McGregor, chairman of the Wairarapa South County Council, overturned at Gladstone, when the driver applied the brake on a greasy road. Mr McGregor escaped with bruises and shock.
