REPORTED SUNK

0 THE POCKET BATTLESHIP DEUTSCHLAND engaged by allied SQUADRON. NO OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, November 26. Though it is not confirmed officially, telephone messages from the Continent quote well-informed shipping circles as the authority for a report that the German pocketbattleship Deutschland has been sunk in the South Atlantic by an Allied squadron. It is reported that after severe shelling by a British warship the Deutschland was making off with superior speed when a second British warship came up and successfully attacked with a torpedo and shellfire. The Allied squadron is reported to have consisted of a British aircraft carrier, battle cruiser, and cruiser, and a French battle cruiser. , It is believed there might be a connection between the reported sinking of the Deutschland and the scuttling of the German liner Adolph Woermann.
