MOTOR FATALITY
WOMAN DIES FROM INJURIES. CAR HITS TRAMWAY POLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! AUCKLAND. November 26. When a small motor-car struck a tramway pole on a footpath in Jervois Road. Ponsonby, on Saturday night, Mrs Amy Anastasia Marnell, aged 54. a passenger in the front seat, received injuries from which she later died. The driver. Donald Horsfield Opperman. aged 42, married, received concussion, a fractured nose and lacerations. His condition is not serious. Two other passengers were injured, one critically. Mrs Margaret J. Sim, aged 68. received severe head injuries and a fractured leg. Her condition is serious. Mrs A. Downing, aged 58, suffered shock and was discharged after treatment at hospital. The car was extensively damaged.
