REPORT ON NEW BUSINESS. The directors of the Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life Assurance Society Ltd., report that the new business completed during the financial year ended September 30, 1939, was as follows: —In the Ordinary Department 29,684 policies assuring £8,516,271, and in the Industrial Department 120,700 policies assuring £5.539,086, the total life business issued (excluding reassurances) being 150.384 policies assuring £14.055,357. In addition, in tlie Accident Department there were written 17.673 personal, accident and sickness policies for £5.123.481. and 6,406 policies in the Ordinary Department were endorsed with accident benefits for £1,221,094.
