INTER-HOUSE SPORTS

MEETING AT MASTERTON THREATENING WEATHER. LARGE CROWD AT THE PARK. Weather conditions were threatening this afternoon when the Inter-house sports competitions commenced at the Masterton Park. There was a large attendance of the public who, despite the weather, took a keen interest in the gathering. After many weeks of intensive training the interhouse girls today will participate in their drill and games competition. Led by the Masterton Municipal Band and headed by Cody’s team the parade around the Park Oval was a most impressive sight. The picturesque backgrounds of the oval and park grounds formed a striking contrast to the outstanding uniforms worn by the teams. The proceedings wore opened by the inter-house girls games and and drill exercises.
