HONOLULU CLIPPER

ARRIVAL IN AUCKLAND DEFENCE MINISTER WELCOMES CREW. START ON RETURN FLIGHT TOMORROW (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Honolulu Clipper arrived from Noumea at 12.40 p.m., completing her flight from San Francisco. The arrival was watched by a large crowd of citizens. There was no formal reception, but Captain Cluthe, his officers and crew, twelve all told, were welcomed by the Minister for Defence (Mr Jones), whose visit to Auckland coincided with the Honolulu Clipper’s arrival. The Clipper brought to Auckland two members of the administration staff. Mi - George Angus, Divisional Superintendent of Communications, and Mr Harold Catty, New Zealand Representative, who has been visiting the United States.

The Clipper commences her return flight, weather permitting, at 9 o’clock tomorrow morning.
