WEDDING
GRAHAM—MANGHAM. The St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, was the scene of a charming evening wedding recently, when Ethel Pearl, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Mangham. Upper Plain, was married to Ronald Thomas, second son of Mr and Mrs E. J. Graham, Lansdowne. The Rev. E. J. Rich was the officiating minister. Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ. The bride who was escorted by her father was attired in a beautiful gown of white satin, cut on slim-fitting lines, with full skirt, forming a train. The bodice had a high neckline and was rucked across the shoulders. The sleeves which were tight fitting from the elbow formed a peak over the wrists. The embroidered veil was held in place by a tiara of silver sequins and orange blossom. The sheath of lilies with fern trailers which the bride carried, completed a charming ensemble. The bridesmaids, Misses Peggy Lee and Joy Osborne, who were frocked alike in teal blue satin, with full skirts and peter pan collars with puffed sleeves. They wore silver sequin Juliet caps and they carried bouquets of sweet peas, stocks and fern. The flower girls were Noeline Graham (sister of the bridegroom), and Ethel Warren (a niece of the bride), and they were miniature replicas of the bridesmaids, except that they wore pink satin. The best man was Mr W. Graham (brother of the bridegroom), and Mr W. Hodges carried out the duties of groomsman. While the register was being signed Mrs Moss sang beautifully "Oh Promise Me." The reception was held at the Orange Hall, where Mrs Mangham, gowned in a navy blue ensemble and carrying a bouquet of pansies, assisted by Ms Graham, who wore a saxe blue ensemble, received the 130 guests. When Mr and Mrs R. T. Graham left on a tour of the North Island. Mrs Graham was attired in a prunella shaded costume, with accessories to tone. Their future home will be in Masterton.
