WASHING DAY ILLS

HINTS FOR THE HOUSEWIFE. During the summer months the hands and arms will need to be treated with a hand lotion at least once a day. as Without a good lotion it will be absolutelj’ impossible to keep them soft and fresh. On washing-day the upper part of the arm often becomes very red and assumes quite a boiled appearance, and it will be found that the daily application of a good lotion will prevent your skin from becoming red. Immediately after dusting or sweeping go into your bathroom and give your hands and face a thorough washing, as otherwise the tiny specks of dirt will work their way into your skin and cause blackheads and other blemishes to appear.
