HOSING RESTRICTIONS
CAUTION ISSUED BY COUNCIL. WASTE OF WATER TO BE CHECKED. Now that water restrictions until further notice have been imposed by the Masterton Borough Council, householders are cautioned against hosing outside the permitted days and hours as advertised. The hosing of private lawns is strictly prohibited. Whilst restrictions are in force no person may use for the purpose of watering the garden or other purpose whatever any hose. etc. unless it is under immediate personal attention of a competent person who is continuously .present. These restrictions apply to all consumers, whether within or beyond the Borough. Immediate steps are being taken by the Council to check any -unathorised or wasteful use of water, and offenders will be prosecuted without exception. Those possessing leaky taps are invited to ring the Borough Engineer who will arrange that the same will be rectified free of cost.
